to most other fastener grades. This includes stock sizes available in the market place, length tolerances,
short thread lengths, and the actual head dimensions are the same as any heavy hex head bolt
(Dimensions per ASME B18.2.6M 2012).

a heavy hex head, a full body diameter, and are normally short in overall length since they are connecting
steel to steel. Unlike other ASTM grades, ASTM A325M Hot DIP Galvanized Heavy Hex Bolt is specific not only in the chemical and mechanical
requirements, but also in the allowed configuration. These bolts are manufactured from a medium-carbon
or medium-carbon alloy steel that is quenched and tempered to develop the desired mechanical properties.
